D-LINK DAP-2690 Access Point Wireless 300Mbit Dualband 2.4GHz 5GHz Gigabit POE
**NEW ORIGINAL RETAIL BOX BRAND**
Power EU Plug, Comes with AC Plug Adapter for your country
DAP-2690 allows you to create a secure and manageable dual band wireless network. Four detachable dual band antennas provide optimal wireless coverage in the two frequency bands of 2.4 GHz (802.1g standards and 802.1n) and 5GHz (802.1a and 802.11n). Access Point DAP-2690 is placed in a metal housing with ventilation in accordance with the rules of fire safety. This high-speed access point supports standard 802.3af Power over Ethernet (PoE), which allows you to install the device, even in areas where power outlets are not available.
Increase in productivity
DAP-2690 provides wireless speeds of up to 300Mbit / s in both the 2.4GHz and 5GHz. Support for Wi-Fi MultimediaTM (WMM) Quality of Service makes it an ideal access point for audio, video, and voice applications.
QoS feature allows you to automatically prioritize traffic according to the level of interactive streams such as gaming or VoIP. QoS feature also provides an option drop down menu to select the user's priority rules. In addition, DAP-2690 supports load balancing to ensure maximum performance.
To provide a comprehensive network protection, DAP-2690 supports the latest wireless security technologies, using both versions of the data encryption standard Personal and Enterprise WPA and WPA 2 (802.11i) with support for server, RADIUS, which allows users to create their own accounts. In addition, the access point supports MAC-address filtering, segmentation of the wireless LAN, barring the broadcast SSID, the detection of illegal connections and wireless network performance in Broadcast Scheduling.
DAP-2690 supports up to 8 VLAN for each range that allows multiple SSID for the implementation of network segmentation. DAP-2690 also supports wireless client isolation mechanism, which limits direct "client-client."
In addition, DAP-2690 supports Network Access Protection (NAP) in Windows Server 2008. NAP allows network administrators to define multiple levels of network access based on individual customer requirements. If a client is identified out of range, it will automatically be returned to the authorized level of network access.
Modes of operation
To optimize network performance DAP-2690 can be configured in any of the following modes: Access Point, WDS with AP, WDS / Bridge (No AP Broadcasting) and Wireless Client. With WDS support, network administrators can install multiple access points DAP-2690 and configure them to bridge, while providing network access to individual clients. In the AP DAP-2690 also incorporates advanced features such as load balancing (for optimal voice traffic on the network) and redundancy (for fail-safe wireless connection). In addition, support for Spanning Tree Protocol to more efficient data transmission by avoiding broadcast storm mode WDS.
The access point supports a variety of control options, including Web-based (HTTP), Secure Socket Later (SSL, provides a secure connection to the Internet), Secure Shell (SSH, to provide a secure channel between computers), and Telnet (bi-directional, 8-bit byte-oriented communications.) For advanced network management, you can use the D-Link AP Manager II or D-View module SNMPv3 to configure and manage multiple access points from a single computer. In addition to a management, AP Manager II and D-View allows network administrators to automatically carry out the inspection of equipment without loss of time and resources.
An array of access points provides management of multiple network devices in the same group for easy setup and deployment. In addition, DAP-2690 supports the function of a wireless network on schedule, ensuring conservation of electricity.
With the support of the two frequency ranges, PoE, housing with ventilation, advanced information management, enhanced security options and settings, DAP-2690 is an ideal solution for wireless networking for enterprises sector SMB.
